White and blues didn't make a good start of the Domestic League, due to some controversies between the president and club chief, as well as delays in paying players salaries, which had a negative impact in the team. As result, previous KF Tirana coach Sulejman Starova was sacked and replaced with 8 times legendary champion, Nevil Dede. Tirana new boss started with a draw in the derby against KS Dinamo with Tirana dominating the match, but being unlucky with numerous wasted chances. Despite losing next away match players kept producing good matches and enhanced the playing level, reflecting this also with the points in the ranking table. During the first part of the season, Dede paid attention mostly to the young players from KF Tirana U-19 and U-17 teams. The end of the year 2010 found KF Tirana in the 4-th spot, 8 points adrift leaders Flamurtari.
